it's more than just a perfume

( \ / )
mood : sensation

It's a perfume day. It has been a long time I had keep them in drawers. I bought them but seldom use them. So why I bought them? "Girls are girls ma..too rich lo..perfume collector?" All these are responded by guys *sit bang ^(oo)^ 豬頭

Perhaps, perfume, it has somthing magical or aura in it, itself is the magic...(nah...I dun really know to do magic.. labbit is not look like a wacky witch with her skeleton-liked finger alright?)
Today, labbit wants to share, how to find its magical inside the fine, artistic bottles....

Actually all perfume consists of 3 notes, if you can understand the different stages of notes with all the scents, then you will easily found the key to enter the magical space behind.....

Try this !
※ Check out the meaning behind for your perfume
※ Understand that 3notes are indicated the different fragrance smell which produced from variety of scents.
※ Find out all the scents, SENSE them, feel them & differenciate the notes level if you'd love to.
※ There, you are showing your appreciation to the perfumer :) try to understand from the perfumer's heart, what message or feeling she/he wants to tell you? Is the feeling/mood match the name?
※ See, this is one of the ways to upgrade your sensibility. This is the way for me to totally feel the perfume.
(O^~^O) 幸福

My favourite perfume
L'eau D'Issey by Issey Miyake for Women
Earth's most precious element, water, is the central theme of this fragrance. It represents purity, serenity, movement and vivacity by blending the sparkling qualities of water, with the warm undertones of the earth. A sharp, aquatic fragrance. This feminine scent possesses a blend of fresh water florals including lily. Along with a touch of carnation. Introduced in 1992.

L'Eau d'Issey Type is a pure floral with musky and woody tones. A very complex fragrance, the perfume is made up of a wide range of floral scents including lotus, cyclamen, freesia, carnations, and white lilies, with hints of amber-seed musk.
Notes: Lotus, Freesia, Cyclamen, Rose Water, Fresh Peonies, Carnation, White Lilies, Precious Woods, Osmanthus, Tuberose, Amberseed, Musk. Style: A fresh sparkling fragrance with warm undertones.

Here is the bottle. I really love this fragrance very much, although it is Eau de Toilette but it is lasting!

"Fragrance Notes"
Top notes: Scents that are perceived immediately on application of a perfume. Top notes create the scents that form a person's initial impression of a perfume. Because of this, they are very important in the selling of a perfume. The scents of this note class are usually described as "fresh," "assertive" or "sharp." The compounds that contribute to top notes are strong in scent, very volatile, and evaporate quickly. Citrus and ginger scents are common top notes.

Heart notes or Middle notes: The scent of a perfume that emerges after the top notes dissipate. The heart note compounds form the "heart" or main body of a perfume and act to mask the often unpleasant initial impression of base notes, which become more pleasant with time. Not surprisingly, the scent of heart note compounds is usually more mellow and "rounded." Scents from this note class appear anywhere from 2 minutes to 1 hour after the application of a perfume. Lavender and rose scents are typical heart notes. Top notes and heart notes are sometimes described together as Head notes.

Base notes: The scent of a perfume that appears after the departure of the top notes. The base and middle notes together are the main theme of a perfume. Base notes bring depth and solidness to a perfume. Compounds of this class are often the fixatives used to hold and boost the strength of the lighter top and heart notes. The compounds of this class of scents are typically rich and "deep" and are usually not perceived until 30 minutes after the application of the perfume or during the period of perfume dry-down. Musk, vetiver and scents of plant resins are commonly used as base notes.

Concentration and composition
The amount and type of solvent mix with the fragrance oil dictates whether a perfume is considered a perfume extract, Eau de parfum, Eau de toilette, or Eau de Cologne. The percent of perfume oil by volume in a perfume is listed as follows:
Perfume extract: 20%-40% aromatic compounds
Eau de parfum: 10-30% aromatic compounds
Eau de toilette: 5-20% aromatic compounds
Eau de cologne: 2-3% aromatic compounds
